i am two seconds away from making a new username because the userpic problem on this one is still not fixed. it has seriously been months. it must just be a strange bug on this username because i tested it with the monpetitjambon userpics and it worked fine. so as soon as i come up with a good new name that isn't taken i'm outah heeere. edit: see end.

and just so this post isn't completely pointless. here's a rant. (i guess the thing above is one too haha)

at my high school we have video morning bulletins, where announcements and things are broadcasted to each class everyday by student anchors (kind of like on degrassi lol if you're confused and this isn't normal). on friday there was an announcement that a pro-life club has been created and is having its first meeting that day. like a lot of other people on campus, i found this to be very upsetting.

i have no idea how such a club was approved by the school. personally, if you did not know this already, i'm liberal and very pro-choice. but regardless of the fact that i don't agree with the platform of this club, this is such a controversial subject for school to sanction that is only going to/has made many people upset. what exactly are the members going to do for the school? in meetings?

the other thing that bothers me is just the term 'pro-life.' because really if you think about it, that implies everyone on the opposite side is therefor "pro-death," which is completely off and offensive.

of course, i completely respect the opinions of anyone who is pro-life, i'm not hating at all. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and so on. and i know a lot of it has to do with religious beliefs. all i'm saying is that i think it's wrong to have this kind of club at a high school (especially a high school like mine which is not religious affiliated at all). i have a feeling it won't last very long.
